Meet Susan Perlmutter, Chief Revenue Officer at REPAY – Realtime Electronic Payments. TurnKey Lender partners with REPAY to enable credit unions, finance companies, and lenders to fund loans 24/7 and subsequently accept loan payments via card and ACH directly through the TurnKey Lender platform as well as consumer-facing payment channels, including Interactive Voice Response (IVR)/phone pay, text pay, mobile apps, and white-labeled online portals. We look forward to hearing more on REPAY and Susan’s expertise in the FinTech realm on TurnKey Lender’s weekly LinkedIn Live series, #LearningFromLeaders, November 17th at 12pm CST. Read more below on Susan’s day-to-day and how she became a leading lady in the FinTech realm.

Q: How did you end up as a leader in the FinTech industry?

A: My great support network – compiled of important leaders who were rooting for me and mentoring me along my career journey – really provided a path for me to become a leader in FinTech.

Q: What is an accomplishment that you are proud of?

A: I am always proud to mentor other women in our business. It’s so important to give back.

Q: What advice would you give to young women today looking to start a career in the industry?

A: The number one piece of advice I give is to speak up! Don’t be afraid to call out things that don’t make sense, and don’t be afraid to suggest thought-out solutions to big problems.

Q: What are you most excited about with new advances in technology today?

A: I am excited about the fact that technologists are really focusing on the individuality of the consumer and their needs, rather than building technology with the assumption that it will be automatically adopted.

Q: As a female leader, how do you start your day? What are your tips for productivity in the midst of a busy schedule?

A: I check in with my team and with my leaders just to make sure that there are no burning issues that were left unresolved from the day before. I see if there are tasks I need to prioritize for the day before the schedule starts rolling. I make sure to schedule some time during the week for “catchup”. Pre-schedule this time to stay on target, and don’t miss a deadline. And don’t leave yourself without a lunch break!
